A roundtable discussion on the themes “Fighting Ignorance with Enlightenment!” and “The Priority of Human Dignity and Rights as the Foundation of Development” was organised at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.

A roundtable discussion on the themes “Fighting Ignorance with Enlightenment!” and “The Priority of Human Dignity and Rights as the Foundation of Development” was organised at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.

During the meeting, students were informed about the negative consequences of various forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism currently occurring around the world. In addition, issues related to developing ideological immunity among young people against ideological threats were thoroughly discussed.

The meeting was attended by the university administration, Mirzohid Gayratovich Khidirov, the director of the Tashkent City Education and Enlightenment Center, and Maruf Soparovich Khamidov, a responsible officer of the Counter‑Terrorism Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, who delivered presentations.

This roundtable discussion played an important role in strengthening the awareness of young people, protecting them from social and negative influences, and promoting the fight against ignorance through enlightenment.

The event was actively attended by university professors, teachers, and more than 450 students.
