The head of a major Taiwanese company — Phison (a manufacturer of SSD and flash memory controllers, whose products are used by brands like Kingston, Corsair, Patriot) made the following statement:

Chip manufacturers are requiring prepayment 2–3 years in advance for orders — this has not happened before;
The smartphone, computer, and television markets may sharply contract — production volume is expected to drop to 250 million units;
The electronics industry is facing a serious crisis — many manufacturers may go bankrupt, and cheap (budget) devices may disappear from the market;
Artificial intelligence systems require huge amounts of RAM — for example, NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform is said to need up to 20 TB of memory;
Memory shortages may continue until 2036, and users might be stuck with older generation "hardware."

For those who haven't managed to upgrade their computers... the situation could be serious.
